To begin with there is no need to go out and pay £50 and upwards on a pair of dance shoes. Indeed many people never do.

what we would say though is that it is easier to dance almost any style with shoes on that do not have big rubber grips. Hopefully it won't come as a surprise that in dancing we tend to move about the floor. Obviously, if you have big grips on your shoes, you will find there is much more resistance.

Any shoes with a slightly smoother sole will do.
