Level:
This class is open to everyone at all levels. The class itself consists of 2 lessons - 1 for total beginners to West Coast Swing and 1 for those that are ready to move up a level.

Is this a course?
No. Absolutely not. From experience we know how tricky it can sometimes be to commit to a course of classes (See the 'Course' section of the menu to the left). This class is a 'drop-in' class meaning that if you miss a week or two it doesn't matter. For more information on why that is take a look at the 'Teaching' menu item.
Other things! When it comes to a great WCS venue there is one thing that you cannot do without........a.great floor. We are very lucky with this venue to have possibly the best dance floor possible. It is a sprung under-floor heated surface thats nice and fast. Perfect for WCS!
ONE WAY STREET!! - Be aware that St. Marks is on a one way street and can only be accessed via Church Square. Just thought we had better tell you.
Our Classes...... FORMATAll of our classes follow the same format so you know exactly what to expect whenever you go to a MtM class. | 7:30pm | Doors open
Your chance to grab an early dance, take a seat or ask any of us questions (lets keep it dancing related!) | | 7:45 | We get going with a beginners class. This class will always be suitable for those who have never danced WCS before and will concentrate on 3 or 4 of our 'Foundation Patterns' along with the all important technique
See the section on 'Teaching' on the main menu | | 8:30 | We take you into a 15 minute practice session where we play continuous music. Have a go at what you just learned and feel free to ask us any questions. The more questions the better. That's what we are there for. | | 8:45 | For those who are ready to move up a level we have an Improvers class in the main hall
See the section on 'Teaching' on the main menu | | 9:15 | This is where we head into our 'Freestyle' section. You can expect a whole range of music from R&B, Soul, (non cheesy) Chart Hits, Country, Blues and Swing | | 11:00pm | Time to shuffle off until the next Tuesday |
Membership
In order to help us keep track of who is doing what we will issue you with a membership number when you first visit us. This number will be written on the progress card (see Teaching on menu).
There is no charge for this.
