MtM
'More Than Moves' was set up to give non-dancers and dancers of all levels the chance to expand their horizons and discover how they can further their dancing ability.
From those who have never set foot on a dancefloor (and who may be terrified to do so) to those who have been dancing for years 'MtM' exists to give you a fresh outlook on dancing and to help you explore.

Combined with our desire to get people dancing, MoreThanMoves was also designed to be a portal for information on dance. Our 'links' and 'Event Diary' page provides information on a wide range of dances and dance events.
As we are not affiliated with any one dance organisation we provide details of many events going on throughout the country and beyond.
If you are an organiser of events related to the styles of dancing we teach feel free to add your event to our calendar.

Paul Farrell started dancing at the age of ten years old in Ballroom and Latin. By the age of 16 he had successfully competed and gained placings in numerous regional competitons including first places in the West of England Classic and Manchester Youth Cup.
By the time he was 21 he had accumulated a wealth of experience in a variety of dance disciplines. Travelling both nationally and internationally, Paul sought out the very best instruction in International Standard, Latin and West Coast Swing with a highlight coming in 2004 which saw him take 1st place in the North Eastern Counties Regional Modern Sequence Finals.

Pauls next achievement came, again, in 2004 which saw him qualify for membership in the Ceroc Teachers Association™.
At the age of 26, having taught dance for a number of years, he decided to give something back and set up 'MoreThanMoves' with one main goal in mind – ‘to work with dancers of all levels to achieve more’.

Currently, Paul maintains an active competition presence in the US West Coast Swing scene as well as National Ballroom and Latin competitions in the UK. Most recently Paul achieved a fantastic 1st place category win in the Jack and Jill event at Liberty Swing - the biggest and most prestigious WCS event in the Eastern United States. This is a major achievement for someone outside of the US!

With an extensive dance background including considerable exposure to many styles as well as studies into dance theory e.g. Alexander technique and contemporary choreography, he saw the need, not only to introduce people to dancing, but to work with existing dancers to really push forward in their development.
Today, Paul teaches individuals, couples and groups of varying sizes while constantly maintaining the approach that dance should be about enjoyment and fun.
