 Hello and a very warm welcome to MoreThanMoves.  My name's Paul and, together with Suzie, we teach West Coast Swing dance classes around the Surrey, Sussex and Kent area of the UK.

Suzie and I set up this website for one reason.........

"TO HELP GET EVERYONE HOOKED ON THE WONDERFUL DANCE STYLE OF WEST COAST SWING"

To achieve our aim we are hoping to provide you with information regarding classes, social dances, workshops and holidays for West Coast Swing. We may even add some random thoughts in here and there.


Although we will, of course, list interesting events from all around the world in the diary section (well, those that we are interested in or that we want to go to!), our primary goal is to supply information about West Coast Swing specifically for the South and East of London. This site is not a global directory. It is specifically for those interested in West Coast Swing in the South East. By focussing on this geographical area it will reduce the amount of national information we need to assimilate and therefore will let me make more frequent and relevant updates.

    WCS is a dance that we love and we hope you will come to love it to. There is nothing better than the feeling you get when you 'connect' with your partner to that perfect WCS track. If you have not danced before, we promise you will wonder why you didn't do it ages ago.

     

    Here at MoreThanMoves (MtM for short) we pride ourselves on making our classes extremely friendly and welcoming. Also, we like to go further by providing things like video recaps and, of course, we are always available to answer any question. We want to do anything we can to help you learn and enjoy West Coast Swing.

     

    Regular Updates?

    We have been dancing in various styles for over 20 years and if there is one thing that we have noticed, it is how infrequently a number of dance websites are updated. To that end we are determined to keep this site as fresh as possible.

     

    The following sections will be the most regularly updated sections on the site:

    • Latest News (both the newflash items on the homepage and via the 'Latest News' main menu item)

    • Class recaps and notes
